這星期出席了 Lenovo 的 ThinkPad Edge 系列 Blogger 聚會，除了全新 Edge 系列介紹外，還有一個小小尋機遊戲，機邊改為銀色的細小 11 吋 Edge 並不易在書架上看出。

ThinkPad T400s 開箱文
2004 年在朋友慫恿下，買入銀色的 Samsung P30 作為自己第一台 notebook，主因是外表 cyber 和顯示屏較大。後來分別經過硬物墜落在鍵盤，和飲品水淹鍵盤後，我開始不願多使用那台 P30 了。
或者我有一個慣性，在試過使用其他牌子的科技產品後，才會選回在那產品類別擁有領導地位的品牌。例如起初噴墨式打印機，我是用 Epson 的，後來才用回 HP。
在上月的 Lenovo Blogger 聚會上，再一次幸運地在抽獎上中獎，獲得一台 ThinkPad T400s。
硬碟保護技術 Active Protection System
很多年前，我已從同事和同業得知，IBM ThinkPad (牌子現已改為 Lenovo) 的 notebook 在技術上一直在領導地位。其中一個例子是 IBM 早於 2003 年發展了 Active Protection System (APS技術)，應用在 ThinkPad 上來保護硬碟。透過內置移動傳感器 (sensor)，當傳感器偵測到移動時，便會即時把在磁片上閱讀資料的驅動臂撤回，和停止硬碟工作，以防硬盤受到撞擊。
基於以上原因，我和一些客戶也相信 ThinkPad 是最佳而可靠的商用 notebook。
