iPad 取替 Netbook
上月份蘋果公司分別先後在香港市場推出 iPad 和 iPhone 4。如果從兩者之間選擇，我會選購 iPad。
選購 iPad 的原因
我想選購 iPad 多於 iPhone 4 的原因，概念上 iPhone 4 相對 iPhone 3 沒有甚麼突破。同時我認為 iPad 是有一定機會取替早兩年流行的 Netbook。iPad 是一部相當適宜作為和別人交流的流動上網裝置，例如見客可讓自己和客戶同時看著畫面。而 iPad 也方便在家，一按即開來閱讀天氣資料，不用花上至少半分鐘來開啟電腦。所以我覺得 iPad 可以爭取 Netbook 的用戶市場。
遊戲與電子書功能
坊間說 iPad 很適合玩遊戲。我覺得那種體驗是不錯的，但我認為在長時間不斷使用 iPad 也是一件苦事。同時 iPad 也不能當成一台電子書，它不是採用 e-ink 技術，也比 e-ink 電子書為重，耗電量也很多。但 iPad 可以用作多媒體播放器來看影片或串流視頻。
iPad 的前景
但我對將來 iPad 的市場前景不會太樂觀，熱潮只能維持 1-2 年。就好像兩年前展開的 iPhone 與 Android smartphone 之爭一樣，相信未來會有廠商推出 9 寸 Android tablet，到時候 tablet 或 mobile tablet 的年代正式來臨了 。
