[twitter](http://twitter.com) 是知名 micro-blogging 工具，micro-blogging 好像 SMS 一般，每個訊息限定 140 字內。當我發現不少 bloggers 和 web developers 也有 twitter 戶口時，我也開了一個 twitter 戶口來 micro-blogging 了。

起初使用時覺得水靜河飛，後來在加入多位熱衷於 twitter 的朋友後，和加上在 Firefox 上安裝了 [twitterfox](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5081) 後，我的 twitter 開始熱烈起來，好像一個網上聊天室（chat-room）。

**Firefox 上的 twitter – Twitterfox**

當 Twitterfox 在每次自動更新朋友訊息後，會在右下角顯示出來。我也可以點擊 Twitterfox 小圖示，來看最近的朋友訊息，也可以向跟蹤我（follow me）的朋友發出訊息。

在朋友的戶口名稱前加上 @，在顯示自己的訊息時會在朋友戶口名稱上加上超連結。

在朋友的戶口名稱前加上 d 和空格，自己的訊息只會直接（direct）傳到朋友戶口上。

而在 twitter 打了任何一定長度的網址（URL）時，twitter 會自動透過 tinyurl.com 把原來網址轉換成 tinyurl 的簡短網址。
