I am writing to commend your efforts in providing valuable weather data to the public and to request the release of additional datasets as open data, specifically the 10-minute regional weather data measurements currently available on your website but not fully accessible to the public.

Making these datasets openly available would significantly enhance public access to critical, real-time weather information. This would empower citizens to make informed decisions about their health, safety, and daily activities based on accurate and timely data. Furthermore, greater transparency in weather data would foster community engagement, promote awareness of climate issues, and support innovation in areas such as research, application development, and public policy.

I kindly urge the Hong Kong Observatory to consider releasing the 10-minute regional weather data as open data, with clear licensing to encourage its use for public benefit. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to serving the community and for considering this request.
