I am writing to request that the Hong Kong Government include the budget data, already available in open CSV format on the Budget website (budget.gov.hk), on the data.gov.hk portal. While the CSV files are accessible on the Budget website, their absence from data.gov.hk limits discoverability and integration with other open datasets, hindering researchers, developers, and the public from fully utilizing this information for analysis and innovation.
Adding these datasets to data.gov.hk would enhance transparency and align with the government’s open data initiatives. I kindly urge the relevant authorities to make the budget data, including revenue, expenditure, and allocations, available on data.gov.hk to improve accessibility and usability.
