I am writing to respectfully request that the Transport Department of Hong Kong release open data concerning Personalized Vehicle Registration Marks (PVRM). Specifically, I seek the public disclosure of the following details for each PVRM:
- The Registration Mark
- The Auction Date
- The Auction Price
Releasing this data in an open and machine-readable format (eg. CSV, JSON) would promote transparency, foster a vibrant and competitive marketplace, and attract more individuals to consider owning personalized marks. Such a move would align with the Hong Kong Government’s commitment to open data, enhance public access to valuable information, and support research and public interest initiatives related to vehicle registration trends and market dynamics.
I kindly urge the Transport Department to consider publishing this dataset on the Hong Kong Government’s Data.Gov.HK portal.
